In the spirit of giving back and investing in the youth, Cell C has donated laptops, routers, and data packages to the top-performing students from the Wits Targeting Talent Programme, particularly those excelling in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. By providing essential tools for learning, Cell C ensures that these bright individuals have the necessary resources to fuel their academic pursuits.
Cell C has been a steadfast supporter of initiatives aimed at nurturing the potential of South Africa's youth though our 3-year partnership with Targeting Talent Programme (TTP), which focuses on supporting learners and teachers in formal schooling, particularly in Grades 10, 11, and 12, pursuing STEM subjects.
Cell C recognises the importance of equipping talented learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds with the tools they need to succeed. This includes providing digital literacy resources that are crucial in today's increasingly digitised world.
"Empowering youth through technology is not just about providing access; it's about igniting potential and opening doors to endless possibilities. At Cell C, we believe in harnessing the power of technology to ensure that we are not just improving lives, but also shaping futures. As we invest in our country's future leaders, we do so with pride, knowing that each empowered young mind is a beacon of hope for a brighter tomorrow." – Lethiwe Hlatshwayo, Executive: Head Corporate Communications at Cell C.
By supporting initiatives like TTP and equipping schools with digital labs, Cell C is playing a pivotal role in driving South Africa's digital transformation, particularly in the education sector.
Through strategic partnerships and a steadfast commitment in empowering youth through connectivity, Cell C is paving the way for a brighter future where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
