Cell C, one of SA’s leading telecommunications company, joined forces with the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District, Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo, in donating water tanks that will augment the supply of water within the district. The handovers took place at Molahare High School in Moletji, Fedile High School in Botlokwa, and Makwarela Society of the aged, symbolising a concerted effort to support shortages of water supply storage in schools and the broader community.

Cell C saw the need to help address pressing water challenges in Limpopo through meaningful action, contributing towards alleviating some of the challenges that water scarcity is having in communities across the region.

Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo, Executive Mayor of Capricorn District said: “As the Water Services Authority (WSA), we recognise the importance of water security within our schools and the surrounding communities. Today's collaboration with Cell C represents a significant step towards addressing some of the water challenges in the district. We are grateful for their partnership and commitment to making a meaningful difference”.

Joshua Moela who heads up Government Relations at Cell C said that as a telecommunications service provider, the company wants to not only provide quality connectivity on SA’s best network, but to also invest addressing some of the pressing needs in the communities that it serves, empowering communities effectively.

By addressing water scarcity issues in Limpopo through initiatives like these, we aim to contribute to sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for all residents. We thank Mayor Teffo and all stakeholders for their support in realising these efforts," Moela said.

Through our network expansion efforts and needs-based corporate social investment initiatives, Cell C aims to create tangible positive impact, addressing connectivity while enriching the communities in which we operate.
