CELL C LENDS ITS SUPPORT TO THOSE AFFECTED BY FLOODS IN UMLAZI

Thursday, 23 November 2017

Wednesday, November 22: Cell C today came to the aid of some of those affected by the massive storm which battered Durban last month as part of its on-going Acts of Kindness campaign.

During the month of November, Cell C is spreading smiles and their employees are participating in various volunteer opportunities.

Cell C KZN region has worked with the Almal Foundation to provide food and hygiene packs for families in Umlazi. A disaster management team is already working in the area and a councillor in Umlazi has identified the 400 people to whom packs were distributed today.

Says Dean Jooste, Regional Executive of Cell C KZN: “Earlier this year, we introduced our Acts of Kindness campaign, with the aim of helping crisis stricken individuals, communities and animals.  An act of kindness is a gesture of goodwill towards someone or something.  It doesn’t have to cost much or anything at all; what’s important is that it’s an act of expressing genuine care for another person or living being. It’s contagious and an opportunity for us to work together, create positive energy and inspire hope.”
