Cape Town – Today, Cell C and the Reach for a Dream Foundation unveiled a transformative Dream Room at St Joseph Hospital Intermediate Paediatric Care in Cape Town, bringing smiles and hope to children battling serious illnesses. This heartwarming initiative demonstrates Cell C’s unwavering commitment to partnering with like-minded organisations to bring kindness that makes a difference.

The Dream Room, a sanctuary designed to uplift and inspire, offers young patients a much-needed reprieve with imaginative play areas, interactive activities such as virtual reality (VR) sets, educational games, and creative crafts, in a brightly covered environment.

Joshua Moela, Managing Executive: Government Relations at Cell C said, “We believe in the transformative power of kindness and with the partnership between Cell C and Reach for a Dream, we’ve been able to create a supportive and joyous environment that provides some relief to the children. Emotional well-being is a critical ingredient in healing, and we wanted to bring some lightness into the lives of the children despite their health circumstances,” he concluded.

Julia Sotirianakos, CEO Reach for a Dream Foundation added, "Our mission has always been to bring hope and joy to children facing life-threatening illnesses. The Dream Room at St Joseph Hospital is a shining example of what can be achieved when organisations like Cell C join hands with us. Together, we are creating magical spaces where children can momentarily forget their struggles and simply be kids."
