South Africans can show their support and vote for her on MobStar app
Thousands of South Africans have sent messages of support to reigning Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene ahead of the Miss World pageant, which takes place on Sunday, December 18, at the MGM National Harbour in Washington, D.C. The current Miss World, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain, will crown her successor at the event.
South Africans can download the MobStar app and vote for Ntando on www.missworld.com/contestants/South-Africa2/. Earlier this week the server crashed due to a record amount of downloads as millions of Miss World fans joined the app to vote for their favourite contestant.
Fans of the pageant will also be able to watch the event via live streaming. Miss World 2016 Grand Coronation Night is available to watch free online via the official live streaming channels on Youtube (www.youtube.com/user/OfficialMissWorld), PlayStation Vue and Xbox Live.
Kunene is looking forward to the pageant: "I have learned valuable lessons thanks to the wonderful opportunities being Miss South Africa 2016 has afforded me. Growing up it was always my dream to be crowned Miss South Africa and I am thrilled now to be able to represent this country on the international stage. I will do my best to make our Rainbow Nation proud."
