The Miss South Africa Diamond Jubilee, which takes place on Sunday, is set to be a grand affair and a celebration of six decades of remarkable women. The Miss South Africa organisers have pulled out all stops to ensure that the 2018 Miss South Africa pageant – to be hosted by Bonang Matheba – will be a glittering affair. It will be televised live and simulcast on M-Net (DStv Channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) from 17h00 to 19h00.

Nearly 40 former Miss South Africa title holders will be in attendance including Miss Worlds Penny Rey Coelen (1958), Anneline Kriel Bacon (1974) and Rolene Strauss (2014) as well as current Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe 1978 Margaret Gardiner.

Pictured at a Miss SA celebratory dinner on Friday at Time Square in Pretoria were Adele Kruger (Miss South Africa 1957) and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (Miss Universe) as well as Gardiner, Strauss, Nel-Peters and Kriel Bacon. Pictures by Yolanda van der Stoep.
