CELL C'S RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS FOR DESTITUTE LIMPOPO FAMILY

Thursday, 30 March 2017

Cell C has come to the aid of a Limpopo family who has been left destitute as a result of a devastating fire. The company will be giving them R10 000 in food vouchers as part of its ongoing Random Acts of Kindness campaign.

The Khosa family, from Waterval Village near Elim Hospital, lost all they owned when their house and possessions were burnt to the ground in December last year. The family also lost all birth certificates and identity documents.

The cause of the fire is still unknown despite investigations by a forensic team from Pretoria.

Since then the family – who comprise parents who are both pensioners and six children who are still at school – has been living without a place to sleep and very little food.

The Department of Social Development has promised to assist them; however their concern is that the family has suffered for all these months without reporting its situation to them.

Cell C is to assist the Khosa family with food vouchers to an amount of R 10 000. It was alerted to the Khosa family’s plight by Capricorn Voice.
