Cell C has come to the aid of a Soweto community organisation as part of its ongoing Random Acts of Kindness initiative.

Rhulani Mabasa founded the Rhulani Mabasa Children’s Foundation in 2013 when he took it upon himself to convert what used to be a dumping site into a sports academy in order for children to participate in different types of sports.

Ever since he started cleaning the area, he has been using his personal finances with help from his team. Most of the area has been cleared but the Foundation needs a lawnmower to help keep the place tidy. When Cell C heard Mabasa has already paid a R3 000 deposit but needed assistance with the balance, they paid the remaining R6 500 as part of their on-going Random Acts of Kindness campaign. Cell C CSI Manager, Boni Dlamini, handed over the lawnmower to a very grateful Mabasa this week.

Cell C was alerted to the Foundation’s plight by Soweto Urban.
